The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide – Roadmap

Episode 1: Done Running
You can get 10 or 11 out of the 13 achievements in a single playthrough. To get the remaining trophies, you’ll need to replay the episode two more times, or make a backup of your game save at the beginning of Act Two. Act Two allows Clem to take one of two tasks to complete; either help: Violet & Brody with spearfishing, or Aasim & Louis with hunting rabbits.
If you choose to go with Aasim & Brody at the Hunting Grounds, you can help Aasim to unlock the Rabbit Season trophy, or spend time with Louis to get the Where’s the Candy? trophy. If Clem goes with Violet & Brody to go spearfishing, she can find a heart graffiti to unlock the Lost Love trophy, and also unlock the Upstream trophy by spearing all fish. To sum up, Clem needs to go to the Hunting Grounds twice, but spearfishing only once.
The other thing you need to look out for are the collectibles. They must be collected in a single playthrough to unlock the trophy/achievement. Episode 1 will take you approximately 2 hours. Saving before Act Two will save you a lot of time if you intend to collect all the trophies.
Episode 2: Suffer The Children
No missables to worry about in Act One. In Act Two (greenhouse), you’ll have to grab the three collectibles. Make sure to eat the mushroom to unlock the missable Edible trophy. And finally be very thorough in examining all the items in the greenhouse and lab, so you can unlock the Botanist trophy.
The beginning of Act Three, you can place the collectibles to get the Personal Touch achievement. The next morning during preparations, Clem can talk to Louis to unlock the Sureshot trophy. Examine everything in the school yard to get the Be Prepared achievement, and finally pet Rosie to unlock Great Girl. Don’t talk to Violet until all this is done.
At this point deep into Episode 2, you will want to make a backup save after the card game with Louis. Clem is given a choice to either help Louis or Violet. You’ll be able to unlock either: Bonded or Moving Fast achievement with either Louis or Violet. To unlock the other trophy, you’ll have to either replay the episode again or reload your game save.
Episode 3: Broken Toys
You can collect all the trophies in one playthrough, if you are very thorough and plan well ahead of time. In Act 1, make sure to Pet Rosie before interrogating Abel. Make sure to collect the two collectibles as well. While interrogating Abel, choose the dialogue to ‘make him sweat‘ in order to get the code required to unlock the As A Mouse trophy.
While doing reconnaissance on the boat, collect the two collectibles there. Inspect all areas of interest while looking through the binoculars with all three comrades to unlock the All-seeing trophy. Play through the game until you meet James, and unlock the Mercy trophy by not killing any of the zombies. Then once at the horse barn, tell AJ to lick the salt lick and collect the two final collectibles, before talking to James.
Back at the bunks in Act 2, place all the collectibles. When the party is over and AJ blows out the candles, it should unlock the Nightlight trophy automatically, although I’m confident it’s unmissable. When the group gets on the dock by the boat, unlock the Personal Space trophy. Now in Act 3, use the proper code given by Abel to unlock the As A Mouse achievement. And when in the cell, check the wall for the tally marks before going inspecting anything further.
Episode 4: Take Us Back
You can’t collect all the trophies in one playthrough. There is a binary choice within Act 1, that splits into two possible trophies: Goodbye and You and Me trophy. The important decision is whether Clem can trust AJ to make the difficult decisions or not. Make a backup save after crossing the stream inside the cave. This will allow you to reload the save and make the other choice, without having to play through the episode intro.
The only other real missable trophy is the collectables one – Survivor, and there are four collectables in total. James’ Skin Mask should be automatically collected by AJ if AJ didn’t shoot Lilly, so James dies. If James didn’t die, then gets complicated on how to obtain it (read more about it in the trophy description). There are two collectibles in Act 1, and the final collectible in Act 3. After that, it’s simply the matter of placing the items at the very end of the episode, to unlock the Home At Last trophy.
'Eps.' stands for the Episode these trophies are unlocked in, and 'OU' stands for the order in which the trophy should be unlocked. 'Miss?' is missable trophies. You can Sort the table by clicking on the column header.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide – Episode 1: Done Running
End of the Road – Completed Act One.
Complete Act One in Episode 1: Done Running. Act One ends when Clem and AJ return to their bunks to sleep, and AJ wants to sleep underneath the bunk. Act Two begins the next morning when the two go look for Marlon.
Fitting In – Completed Act Two.
Complete Act Two in Episode 1: Done Running. Act Two ends after having dinner, and AJ & Clem are sitting with Tenn while he does a drawing. Act Three begins as AJ & Clem head towards their quarters.
Protector – Completed Act Three.
Complete Act Three in Episode 1: Done Running. This is unlocked at the end of this episode.
Tickle Monster – Tickled AJ.
Unlocked during Act One of Episode 1: Done Running. When Clem goes to find and reunite with AJ — who is in the company of Louis (playing piano), she can tickle him after checking if he is alright.
Nothing Wasted – Used ALL traps.
Marlon asks Clem to come help thin out some walkers, after she has reunited with AJ and met Louis. Louis will show her how to use the traps. You’ll have to use them all to unlock the achievement, and there are 4 in total. Clem can stun them (kick in the knee), to keep them in place. Unlocked during Act One of Episode 1: Done Running. Social Butterfly – Talked to EVERYONE at dinner.
This might be unmissable. AJ won’t be ready to apologize to Marlon until they have spoken with everyone in the surrounding area. Unlocked during Act One of Episode 1: Done Running.
- Ruby, alone by the fireplace.
- Violet & Tenn by the graves.
- Mitch & Willy, whittling wood into a spear.
- Louis & Omar, by the cooking pot.
- Aasim, writing in his chronicle book.
Lost Love – Found Heart Graffiti.
At the beginning of Act Two, Marlon will let Clem choose two options to help out the camp. In order for Clem to find the Heart Graffiti, she needs to choose to help Violet & Brody. After Brody gets done talking to Clem in the Old Shack, go talk to AJ. He will mention the heart graffiti on the wall. The achievement/trophy will unlock soon after.
Upstream – Speared ALL fish.
At the beginning of Act Two, Marlon will let Clem choose two options to help out the camp. In order to unlock this trophy, Clem needs to choose to help Violet & Brody. After a brief chat with Brody, Clem & AJ will go talk with Violet. You have to spear three fish to unlock the achievement/trophy.
Where’s the Candy? – Hit all Pinata Swings.
Unlocked during Act Two of Episode 1: Done Running. At the beginning of Act Two, Marlon will let Clem choose two options to help out the camp. Choose to help out Aasim & Louis at the Hunting Grounds. Clem has to choose to hang out with Louis to hit the trapped walker. Clem has three chances to hit the walker, and needs to connect with all 3 for the trophy/achievement to unlock.
Rabbit Season – Shot ALL rabbits.
At the beginning of Act Two, Marlon will let Clem choose two options to help out the camp. Choose to help out Aasim & Louis at the Hunting Grounds. Clem has to choose to hang out with Aasim to hunt rabbits with the bow. Clem just has to shoot two rabbits; but make sure they are the grown adults.
Good Girl – Rosie.
Unlocked during Act Two of Episode 1: Done Running. At the very beginning of this Act, Clem and AJ will be greeted by Rosie the dog. Marlon will come in, and ask that you trust him with Rosie. Choose the ‘trust‘ option and Clem will command Rosie to her bed and the trophy/achievement will unlock.
Scavenger – Found all Episode One collectables.
There are 6 total collectibles in Episode 1: Done Running. You have to collect all 6 within one playthrough, or else the trophy/achievement won’t unlock.
- Deer Head (Act One) – found in the beginning of this episode, just past the tire swing into a dead end area adjacent to the abandoned house.
- Fake Flowers (Act One) – immediately as you enter the house to find AJ & Louis, but before you run into Ruby. The flowers are behind the stairs that lead up.
- Real Flowers (Act One) – just before dinner, Clem & AJ have a chance to talk to everyone. Head East past Mitch & Willy until you reach the blockaded door. Then while heading North, look to your right for a bench with purple flowers.
- AJ’s Drawing (Act One) – You get this from AJ after the talk with Violet, back in the bunks. I chose the option to return the art materials back to Tenn, if that makes any difference.
- Cat Skull (Act Two) – Clem is tasked with helping out Aasim & Louis at the hunting grounds, or Violet & Brody down the river. If Clem goes to the Hunting Grounds, the Cat Skull is along the left perimeter on the ground near tall brush, heading towards Aasim. But if Clem helps Violet & Brody at the river, the Cat Skull is in the Old Shack, on top of the fireplace.
- Tenn’s Drawing (Act Two) – back at the camp, Clem will join AJ & Tenn after dinner. Tenn will ask Clem if she wants to be in the drawing. You should say ‘yes’. Afterwards, Tenn will give the drawing the Clem, as the final collectable.
To Make It Look Nice – Placed all Episode One collectables.
Unlocked at the beginning of Act Three, just when Clem & AJ return to their bunks.
- Deer Head – place this above the doorway
- Fake Flowers – on the shelf above the desk that is closest to AJ’s bunk
- Real Flowers – on the desk that is between the two bunkbeds, by the candle
- AJ’s Drawing – should should have been placed automatically
- Cat Skull – on a bookshelf that is closest to Clem’s bunk, by the backpack
- Tenn’s Drawing – place it on the wall, next to AJ’s Drawing
The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide – Episode 2: Suffer The Children
We’re Staying – Completed Act One.
In my playthrough, Act One ended at the campfire with James. Clementine has the choice to: stay awake and keep watch, or go to sleep. Act Two begins when James escorts Clem and AJ back to the school.
Old Ghost – Completed Act Two.
Act Two ends when Clem and the group are finished at the greenhouse. Act Three begins when Clem returns to the bunk to AJ.
Defender – Completed Act Three.
Act Three ends at the completion of Episode 2.
Be Prepared – Made sure everything was ready.
Unlocks in Act 3. During the preparations (day time), Clementine just has to inspect all possible environmental interactions within the school yard to unlock this trophy, including the graves. You can check all possible nearby interactions by holding the left bumper/L1 button down. Just make sure to not talk to Violet until you have checked for everything and unlocked the trophy, or else the game will progress.
Botanist – Green Thumb.
Unlocked in Act 2, during the greenhouse exploration. This trophy unlocked for me after examining the chalkboard in the lab area, but it may be required that Clementine examine the test tubes, beaker, and flask items within the lab area of the greenhouse. It may also require examining the items within the first part of the greenhouse, such as: the planter bed, the mushrooms, shovel, lawnmower, etc. Also pick up the Venus Fly Trap collectible.
Edible – How’d it taste?
Unlocked in Act 2, when Clem, Ruby, and Mitch explore the greenhouse. There is a mushroom Clem can pick directly behind Ruby. Examine (collect) the mushroom first, then the option to eat the mushroom will be available.
Great Girl – Aw, Rosie.
Unlocked in Act 3. During the preparations, interact with Rosie, who is lying next to Marlon’s grave. Choose the option to ‘Pet Rosie‘ to unlock the trophy.
Sureshot – Didn’t miss once.
Unlocked during Act 3. Talk to Louis and he should give you Marlon’s Bow. Shoot at the target about 5 times, and don’t miss to unlock this trophy/achievement.
Bonded – Platonic.
During Act 3, Clem has a chance to either follow Violet or Louis. In either case, there will be a choice to remain friends, or something more. Choose to be friends to unlock the Bonded achievement.
Moving Fast – Teenage Romance.
During Act 3, Clem has a chance to either follow Violet or Louis. In either case, there will be a choice to remain friends, or something more. Make the choices that lead to romance, and once given the option for [KISS], choose it. It will unlock the trophy.
Deadeye – Protected your turf.
Unlocks during Act 3, after Clem deals with the walkers coming onto the school grounds (after Lily and her group has left).
Gatherer – Found all Episode Two collectables.
There are only three collectibles in this episode, and both are found within Act 2.
- The Boar Skull – can be found right after Clem and the group reach the greenhouse. Once you have control of Clem, search around the nearby area (where Ruby is), in the brush you can find a boar skull on the ground.
- Mushroom – the mushroom is directly behind Ruby in a planter box, in the first area of the greenhouse.
- Venus Fly Trap – this is found further in the greenhouse, beyond the door that leads into the lab area.
Personal Touch – Placed all Episode Two collectables.
You can place the three collectibles at the beginning of Act Three, back at the bunks (night time), once in control of Clem.
- The Boar Skull – Clem can place this in the bookshelf next to the Cat Skull.
- Mushroom – place this in the same bookshelf as the boar skull, one shelf below.
- Venus Fly Trap – the Fly Trap goes on the desk where the real flowers are.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide – Episode 3: Broken Toys
Whispers – Completed Act One.
Act One ends when Clementine convinces James to help them. Act Two begins when Clem and AJ return to the bunks.
Shoreline – Completed Act Two.
Act Two ends when the group gets inside the boat interior. The start of Act Three is when they are sneaking inside the boat.
Leader – Completed Act Three.
Act Three ends at the completion of Episode 3.
Best Girl – Rosie!
Pet Rosie in Act 1, once you are in the cellar to interrogate Abel. She may not fully trust you, but the trophy will still unlock.
Mercy – Did no harm.
Unlocked In Act 1, when you meet up with James. He asks you not to kill the zombies. The important part is timing the stuns — you don’t want to stun two zombies within a short time period, because they will both get back up around the same time. Stun one, wait a few seconds, then stun the other. There’s one final zombie you must prevent killing. That is during the cart push scene. The trophy unlocks after that.
Nightlight – Made sure they slept tight.
This unlocked automatically for me at the end of the party in Act 2. The trophy unlocks after AJ blows out the candle.
All-seeing – Let nothing slip by.
Unlocked in Act 1, while doing reconnaissance on the boat. Make sure to inspect all possible options when Clementine is looking through the binoculars. The three opportunities are when she groups with: Willy, Violet/Louis, and AJ. The game will proceed (exit out of the binoculars automatically) once you’ve found them all while with each character.
Did you lick it? – Remembered the good times.
Unlocked in Act 1, when meeting James at the horse barn. You can either tell AJ to lick it, or choose the silent option and he will lick it on his own.
Personal Space – Kept your distance.
Unlocked at the very end of Act 2, right before the group boards the boat. When on the pier, Clem will have a chance to take down some zombies. Keep them all at a distance with the bow. You can stun them, but refrain from using your knife (bow kills only). If you don’t get it, better to let Clem get eaten to retry the checkpoint.
As A Mouse – Was very sneaky.
This is a missable trophy that has dire consequences of missed. You waste a lot of time to replay the episode over, if not caught early. When interrogating Abel in Act 1, you must choose the ‘make him sweat’ option, as opposed to Clem giving him her word. This is on the subject of Abel turning into a zombie. Abel will give up the codes. In Act 3 while on the boat, there will be two confrontations. The first one is where the code is used when the guy requests it, allowing the encounter to be avoided. The trophy unlocks soon after. Credit to user ‘Chairles’ who provided the solution in the comments below.
Tally – Counted the days.
Look at the wall near the cell door, when Clementine awakens after being knocked out in Act 3.
Hunter – Found all Episode Three collectables.
There are six collectibles in this episode, and both are found within Act 1.
- School Pennant – while in the cellar (left side wall), before interrogating Abel.
- Sketch Toy – before interrogating Abel, on the storage shelf, after the duct tape, but before Rosie.
- Horseshoe – while the gang is scoping out the boat, look at the path that is directly behind Clem
- Rabbit’s foot – also while scoping out the boat, check near the ground to the right of Willy. It’s nearby him
- Beet Nick – while meeting with James. Check to the left of James, near the stable area.
- Wind Chime – to the right of AJ and the salt lick. It’s on the barn wall exterior.
Feels Like Mine – Placed all Episode Three collectables.
You can place the six collectibles at the beginning of Act Two, back at the bunks (night time), once in control of Clem.
- Pennant – Clem’s bunk.
- Sketch Toy – on the bookshelf adjacent to Clem’s bunk.
- Horseshoe – on the door
- Rabbit’s foot – on AJ’s bunk
- Beet Nick – on the desk AJ is sitting
- Wind Chime – look up and place it on the ceiling fan
The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide – Episode 4: Take Us Back
Red Water – Completed Act One.
Act One ends when Clem and the group exit the caves. Act Two starts when they get out into the wilderness.
Final Lesson – Completed Act Two.
Act Two ends when AJ has just made an important decision.
Savior – Completed Act Three.
To complete Act Three is to see the conclusion of this episode and the Final Season.
Goodbye – Did all you could.
This trophy unlocks after the bridge encounter in Act 2. You need to have made the choice to trust AJ to make the hard choices while in the cave. AJ will shoot Tenn during the struggle on the bridge.
You And Me – Came full circle.
This trophy unlocks after the bridge encounter in Act 2. Clem has to tell AJ that he is not ready to make the hard choices yet, while in the cave. AJ won’t shoot Tenn during the struggle on the bridge.
Promise – Said you’d never leave.
This trophy unlocks in Act 3, and is unmissable. It is during the flashback scene with Clem and AJ, and unlocks when the scene fades to black.
Lost And Found – Found Clem’s hat.
This is unmissable. In my playthrough, Clem’s hat was given to AJ by Tenn [ALIVE] in Act 3. If Tenn is dead, then AJ will find Clem’s hat flowing down the river stream. He’ll fail to grab it, and then Rosie will pick it up automatically. The trophy won’t pop up until later, however.
Survivor – Found all Episode Four collectables.
There are four collectibles in this episode.
- James’ Skin Mask – AJ picks this up automatically during the boat escape in Act 1, but only if James died (AJ didn’t shoot Lilly). If James lives, it’s possible to get the Skin Mask while in the caves, since he takes it off here. But this only happen if James storms off on his own after the huge argument. If James decides to stick around to make sure the group exits the cave safely, I don’t think you can get it. For me, I got James to leave the cave after the dialogue about his “philosophy”. Choose the option to respond with: “It’s a childish fantasy.” PLEASE NOTE: I don’t know for certain that this one choice is enough, or if you have to also choose other certain dialogue as well.
- Crystal – In Act 1, while in the dark caves. While Clem is looking for items to make a torch, go examine the flowing stream. Follow it up a bit in the direction that it is flowing from. On the ground nearby some stalagmites, you should find the crystal rock. (It’s near the log that you need to unjam in order to cross the stream.)
- Calypso Cauliflower Toy – Also found in Act 1 in the caves. Just past AJ, this toy is found nearby the walker corpse by the stream.
- Skull – Found in Act 3. While AJ is putting away the spear, look to the right (as you enter the cabin). There is a small white stove. Search the ground to the left of this stove, to find the final collectible.
Home At Last – Placed all Episode Four collectables.
This trophy can be glitched to unlock even without finding all collectibles. I was able to unlock it when James’ Skin Mask was placed on the coat rack.
- James’ Skin Mask – On the coat rack near the door.
- Crystal – Place this on the desk.
- Calypso Cauliflower Toy – In AJ’s bed, with the other toys.
- Skull – This goes on the shelf near Clem’s bunk, next to the Mushroom and Sketch Toy.

As a mouse is achieved by choosing [make him sweat] when torturing abel. He gives up a code you can use when you’re as at the boiler room. You get the achievement by repeating the correct code [Rockingham] and avoiding the fight.

Goodbye is achieved by not trusting AJ to make a call when your in the cave. It pops in the same place and You and Me.
That’s crazy because I got goodbye trophy by trusting Aj I think it’s random or a bug lol
You and Me and Goodbye are both done in the Cave where you given the choice to either Trust AJ or Don’t , if not then after the bridge part you’ll unlock You and Me and if you do choose to Trust AJ then after the bridge part you’ll unlock Goodbye.
I wish I seen this sooner 🙈 I played episode one three times and Iv now completed it. I didn’t realise you could make copies of saves 😫
Yeah you can backup saves locally on PS4 and on PC, but it’s not possible on Xbox. There’s not a real good way to manage saves on the Xbox platform. It will save you a lot of time for sure, since these games don’t have Episode chapters anymore.
