The final round of the last tournament in NBA Playgrounds is set in Las Vegas against opponents Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson.
NBA Playgrounds Tips
You can dominate easily here if you choose players with high 3-point stats. It’s important to always be aggressive in defending and try to steal at every opportunity. Make sure you face the right direction.
Rebounding: Pay attention to the direction the ball is coming at the basket, and position your player accordingly to where the ball should bounce. Sometimes it’s better not to jump for the rebound since if you miss the reception it will delay you.
Slam dunks: You will need to sprint to the hoop and need about half of your stamina bar available to make dunks.
Alley-Oops: To throw it to the AI partner, make sure they are somewhere in position by pressing the left trigger (controller). When they run with a blue trail is when you should pass it to them. This is one of the most important techniques you need to put some time to train in, since it boosts the lottery pick bar the most.
Stealing: You will notice some CPU opponents just simply don’t want to give up the ball, and others are very prone. Use players with high steal attribute, like John Stockton or Jason Kidd to make successful steals. Make sure to face the opponent for maximum effectiveness. Keep your stealing to a minimum to avoid draining your stamina. In other words: don’t spam it, and make every attempt count.
Pushing: I would advise against pushing unless your lottery pick bar is at zero. Push only if the game is on the line and time is running out. Pushing drains too much of your stamina, but smart usage can make the difference.
