Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is coming April 7th, 2020.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is a survival action-adventure game. You choose a character who visits a big city for a job interview, until suddenly a huge earthquake happens.
Your job now is survival.
In Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, every action you take and decision you make matters! Interact with various people, explore hazardous areas, and navigate your way through dangerous scenarios in order to survive!
I guess you could say it’s a bit like the Dead Rising series, but instead of zombies you get a natural disaster, and instead of a shopping mall it’s an entire city.
I’m not gonna lie — graphically the game is not going to win any awards. But a game doesn’t really need that if it has enough character and charm to get by (see: Deadly Premonition).
Unfortunately, I’m not very familiar with the pedigree of the developer Granzella or even with the Disaster Report series as a whole.
This game has already been released overseas in Japan for Playstation 4 in late November 2018, but I haven’t seen many impressions. It was released in September 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
The previous Disaster Report games have pretty middling reception with scores ranging from 5-7 (out of 10). I won’t set too high expectations.
One steam impression says this game isn’t as similar to the previous games as it’s more story-focused. That’s a positive for me.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories will be available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
I would like to give it proper attention, but it has the terrible fate of being released in between Resident Evil 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Have you played this game, or plan to try it? Let me know in the comments.
