Unlock the Bookworm Trophy with this Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations Guide. There are 46 magazines in total. You can check which ones you’ve collected in the Extras menu.
Collecting these magazines is not as straightforward as you might think. Some magazines require specific conditions to show up. A few of them even replace some others.
Most “magazines” that you find actually count for two; you have to swipe on the touchpad left or right to view the other. Only a couple of them only have one. You only need to view the cover page for it to count, and you have to complete the chapter.
Once you’ve collected the last magazine, the trophy will unlock during the Chapter Flowchart Results. Use the table below to sort by column header. You can also search and show more entries. Clicking on the magazine number should redirect you.

Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 11: Waitin for Hank… // Magazine: 29, 30, 28
Find this magazine in the center island table while waiting for Hank. This magazine is unique as there are 3 possible magazines within. The default magazine is: The Three Laws of Robotic Parenting / Ivanoff says “Niet”!. But if Carl is dead in your playthrough, Famous Detroit Painter Dies will replace Robotic Parenting.
Carl dies in Chapter 7: Broken if Markus doesn’t defend himself and endures Leo. If Markus pushes Leo, then Carl is alive. Whichever choice, you’ll need to play Chapter 7 all the way through to Chapter 11 for the timeline to change. You cannot complete Chapter 7 only, and try to launch Chapter 11 because the decisions don’t ripple forward.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 12: On the Run // Magazine: 31
Depending on your choice in Chapter 9: Fugitives, Kara can end up in either the: Motel, Squat (Abandoned House), or Parked Car. Not to worry though, since the magazine can be found no matter the location. This magazine only counts for 1. The second magazine about Canada is not valid.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 13: Jericho // Magazine: 15, 13, 32
Found immediately on one of the benches at the beginning of the chapter. This is another one that is affected by your playthrough. The default magazine is: CyberLife’s ‘Fortune Teller’ Computer / Android Astronauts.
However if Kara is chased by the police and Connor in Chapter 12: On the Run, then the first magazine is replaced with Android on the Run! Kara and Alice have to be chased on the highway scene.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 14: The Nest // Magazine: 33, 20
Found in the first room on the right.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 16: Zlatko // Magazine: 34, 35, 41
This magazine is located on the 2nd floor. Enter the first door directly past Luther. Yet another magazine that changes depending on your choices. The default magazine is: Arctic Tensions / How Androids Alter Your Brain.
If Kara is not chased by the police in Chapter 12: On the Run, then How Androids Alter Your Brain will be replaced by AX400 Getaway. This means you can’t get caught by Connor, or the police.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 17: Russian Roulette // Magazine: 5, 4
You can find this magazine in Hank’s room, while Connor is waiting for Hank. It is easy to miss if you don’t change the camera angle.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 19: The Eden Club // Magazine: 14, 36
Found in the Warehouse while searching for the blue-haired deviant.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 20: The Pirates’ Cove // Magazine: 37, 24
It’s hard to miss this one. Right when you find shelter, it sits atop a barrel.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 21: The Bridge // Magazine: 8, 40
Head right to the bench right after Connor gets out of the car.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 22: The Stratford Tower // Magazine: 38, 6
Right after getting off the elevator, circle clockwise into the cafeteria area. The magazine is on a table adjacent to the vending machine.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 23: Public Enemy // Magazine: 16, 21
In the break/eating area where the broadcast operator androids are. It’s on a table.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 24: Midnight Train // Magazine: 9
On the kitchen table in Rose’s house.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 25: Capitol Park // Magazine: 39, 7
Right at the very beginning of the chapter. The magazine is on top of some carboard boxes.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 26: Meet Kamski // Magazine: 17, 15
While waiting in the lobby area for Kamski, you can find the magazine here. The second magazine is a duplicate of one you found earlier. Fortune Teller could also be found in Chapter 13: Jericho.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 27: Freedom March // Magazine: 42, 18
Markus looks at this magazine right at the very beginning of the chapter. The first magazine is called Android Riot, but in the Chapter Flowchart it will be listed as Android Arson. You need to have completed Chapter 25: Capitol Park to fruition. If you end the chapter with a retreat or fail the mission someway, this magazine won’t appear.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 29: Crossroads // Magazine: 43, 44
This magazine is only found if Markus took a violent approach in Chapter 27: Freedom March. It’s a tricky magazine to find if you don’t change the camera. You can find this in either Crossroads – Kara, or Crossroads – Connor. Find this on top of a box in the center area.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 31: Markus’ Demonstration // Magazine: 45
Only found in within the barricades. Markus needs to choose to go forward with a Demonstration in Chapter 30: Night of the Soul – Markus. It’s found near the distraught android sitting down.
Detroit Become Human Magazine Locations – Chapter 31: Kara Leaves Detroit // Magazine: 46
Found in the Bus Terminal area, on the ground. Markus needs to choose to go forward with a Revolution in Chapter 30: Night of the Soul – Markus. If North is the Jericho leader, then it will be an android revolution regardless.
